Global Commission on
Conflict & War
See how understanding becomes responsible action.
Explore what this pathway receives, notices, can carry, and actually does—while keeping civilian needs in view.
MIND’s systems counterpart is System Expression: the visible state, decisions, activity, and effects of the commission’s work.
Here, the focus is the commission’s civilian learning, communication, and support activity. A shared purpose connects the work; different people and partners keep distinct roles.

How the whole and its parts connect
The same four areas can describe the whole commission or a defined piece of work. At the whole level, examine shared priorities, coordination, and effects. Within a part, examine its own inputs, workload, decisions, and results.
A concern may be recorded by one team yet disappear during a handoff. Follow it across roles: was it received, given attention, matched with feasible support, and acted on?
Keep differences visible. A shared plan does not mean everyone has the same experience or agrees. Check whose needs, rights, uncertainty, and influence are missing.
Where MIND sits beside XL2 and capacity
Capacity ArchitectureThe people, resources, access, connections, and reserve that support the work.
XL2How information and learning are selected, organized, related, and revised.
System ExpressionWhat becomes observable in the system’s state, decisions, activity, and effects.
These three views influence one another. Results return as new information and learning. System Expression is observed through records, decisions, handoffs, and effects—not inferred by averaging people’s mental states.
